The purpose of this Program Instruction is to notify you that under New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Law, Section 14.09, the State Office for the Aging must be notified as early in the planning process as possible if funds are to be used to acquire, alter, or renovate any property of existing or potential historical significance. By way of this Program Instruction you are also requested to contact the State Office for the Aging if you are now funding or have {in the past two years} funded alterations or renovations to any property of existing or potential historical significance.
