The fiscal year 2021 State Budget has reconstituted the Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT). MRT II is bringing stakeholders back to the table to find solutions that will once again contain spending growth so this critical program, which provides health care to more than 6 million New Yorkers, remains financially sustainable for the future. On February 12, the MTR II held its first public meeting.
The PowerPoint and webinar recording from this meeting, as well as all project updates going forward, will be available on the Department of Health’s MRT II website.
Also on the webpage is a form link to submit recommendations and proposals (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Medicaid_Redesign_II_Pulic_Proposal_Survey).
Recommendations/proposals must be submitted no later than 12PM on February 21. Questions about the form may be directed to [email protected]. The MRT II will submit its report with findings and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature in mid-March for consideration in the Fiscal Year 2021 Enacted Budget.
