Learn more about the Older Americans Act. Passed in 1965, this legislation provides funding for and regulation of many social and nutrition services to older adults and their caregivers. 

NYSOFA is governed by Title 9 Subtitle Y of New York Codes, Rules and Regulations. These rules govern the administration of various funding streams and programs.

Executive Order #38
This Executive Order prevents public funds from being diverted to excessive compensation and unnecessary administrative costs, and ensures that taxpayer dollars are being used to help New Yorkers in need.
