Aging & You - Older Driver Safety Driving safely is an important issue for many older drivers and their families. Changes in vision, flexibility, strength, and height, due to advanced age, can make us less comfortable and reduce our control behind the wheel - even though many of us will be able to drive safely into old age despite these changes. Medications can also cause side effects that can impair driving abilities.
