Onondaga County Honoree
Robert Graves Robert Graves is a native New Yorker, and he currently resides in Onondaga County in Liverpool. He is thrilled to have grandchildren to spend time with.
Bob began volunteering for North Area Meals on Wheels in 2009, bringing with him 30 years of volunteering experience, and experience and dedication as an advocate for seniors. Although he started out delivering meals to the seniors, he immediately added more responsibilities where he saw a need, such as cooking meals on Mondays. He started our newsletter, sits on committees and serves as a board member. Everyone who works with Bob comes away inspired by his energy and initiative, and he always leads productive discussions, putting items discussed into action.
Bob volunteers with other organizations to eliminate senior hunger, and is an active volunteer with his church. He embodies the spirit and meaning of volunteering. We are proud to work beside Bob, and nominate him for this award.
Mr. Graves began volunteering because he hoped to create networks of help for the good of humanity throughout his community and beyond.
"Touching people's lives through his passion for caring, and inspiring others to acts of kindness and giving back to the community through his daily actions are his greatest rewards," he said.
